Library Membership
The DSMS Library provides its membership by default to all the bonafide members (students, faculty members, and staff) of the college.
The membership is valid as long as the user becomes a member of the college.
The library membership will be suspended or terminated and disciplinary action will be taken, if the member has done any of the following:
- Found misusing/mutilating/stealing/cutting pages from a book
- Improper use of Library facilities
Circulation
Only Registered Members can borrow general books, textbooks, and reference books from Library on the production of their individual Identity Card issued by the college at the circulation desk.
The following circulation services have been provided by the Central Library:
- Issue/Check-out
- Return/Check-in
- Renew
- Reservation/Hold
- E-mail Alerts on every transaction
Reading Room
The DSMS College library reading room is an excellent facility for students and scholars who are looking for a comfortable and conducive environment to study and do research. With a seating capacity of over 50, this reading room can accommodate a large number of individuals, making it an ideal spot for group study or collaborative work. The reading room is well-decorated and designed to provide a peaceful and productive atmosphere, conducive to studying. It is equipped with modern furniture, including comfortable chairs and desks, and ample lighting, which helps reduce eye strain and improve focus. In addition, the reading room is equipped with a high-speed Wi-Fi facility, which enables users to access online resources, download materials, and conduct research without any hassle.
